Pepper Dog Salsa - Medium
First Place Winner for all-natural salsas at the 2009 Scovie Awards competition, Pepper Dog Salsa is a North Carolina original, but don't let that fool you: This salsa has authentic southwestern flavor and is as good as (or better than!) any fresh-made restaurant or homemade salsa.
The texture is thick and rich, not watery, and there's no vinegary aftertaste either, like you'll find in many store brands.
Pepper Dog Medium Salsa is spiced with enough jalapenos to give it a pleasant burn that builds with every bite, but won't scald like a hot habanero salsa.
It also has chile powder for a hint of smoky flavor, and it's a "smoother" style salsa (not chunky) which makes it great for recipes.
